Abstract

V originále

Josef Svoboda is considered one of the most prominent stage designers of the twentieth century, a creator of the field of stage design who also played a significant role in its critical reflection. The presentation focused on results of the long term research which dealt with the reconstructions of the artistic and technical solutions created by Josef Svoboda for three productions of the Richard Wagner’s musical drama Tristan und Isolde. The contribution was presented within the Svoboda Days at the conference in Madrid on December 11, 2019 (organized by Instituto Europeo di Design) and repeated at the conference in Sevilla on December 16-17, 2019 (organized by Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático). Martin Ondruš was invited to both conferences by Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático in Sevilla.
