Vnímaný hudební umělecký výkon lze rozdělit do pěti základních pilířů, které společně určují jeho konečnou kvalitu a spokojenost publika. Je to krása zvuku, technické dovednosti, intonační schopnosti, hudební nadstavba a psychická odolnost, která je základem pro zvládnutí stresu v koncertním vystoupení. Cílem této práce je aplikovat tyto obecné hudební principy na specifika a technické možnosti hry na trombon. Jak název napovídá, jedná se o práci, která se podrobně věnuje jak teoretickým základům, tak specifikům trombonové hry, jakož i praktickému nácviku nezbytných dovedností ve všech výše uvedených oblastech.

Perceived musical artistic performance can be divided into five basic segments, which together determine its final quality and audience afficiency. It is a sound beauty, technical skills, intonation refinement, musical superstructure and mental stability, which is the basis for stress management in concert performance. The aim of tis work is to apply these general musical principles to the uniqueness and technical possibilities of the trombone playing. As the title of the book indicates, this is a methodical, handbook that deals in detail both with theoretical basics and with the specifics of the trombone playing, as well as with the practical training of the necessary skills in all thementioned areas.
