Kniha má za cíl zkoumat rozdílné inscenace avantgardy, postmodern dance a současného tance (Meg Stuart: Disfigure Study, Mette Ingvartsen: evaported landscapes, Kirsten Dehlholm: Operation : Orfeo) nahlížené dvěma metaforami současného vědeckého diskurzu, intermedialitou a transmedalitou, které v úvodu definuje v návaznosti na studie současné německé teatrologické literatury (zejména studie Uwe Wirtha). Další z otázek je specifičnost podmínek vnímání diváka v intermediálním/transmediálním představení. V tomto ohledu mohou analýzy pomoci pochopit specifičnost a konvence ztvárnění a vnímání médií a přispět k posílení mediální kompetence publika.

The book aims to research different productions of avant-garde, postmodern dance, contemporary dance (Meg Stuart: Disfigure Study, Mette Ingvartsen: evaported landscapes, Kirsten Dehlholm: Operation : Orfeo) viewing of two metaphors of contemporary discourse, intermediality and transmediality. Which defines in the introduction in relation to the German theatrological literature (especially the Uwe Wirth’s studies). Another question is the specificity of viewer perception conditions of intermediate/transmediate performances. In this regard, the analysis could help to understand the specificity and conventions of representation and perception of the media and contribute to the strengthening of media competence audience.
