Výstava vychází z dlouholetých výzkumných aktivit Marie a Pavla Jiráskových, kteří se zaměřují na historická loutková divadla a divadelní loutky. Předmětem výstavy v Muzeu v Brandýše nad Labem byla česká rodinná, školní a spolková divadla zhruba od roku 1918 až do 50. let minulého století.

The exhibition is based on long-term research activities of Marie and Pavel Jiráskovi who focus on historical puppet theaters and theater puppets. The subject of the exhibition at the Museum in Brandýs nad Labem was Czech family, school and community theatres from around 1918 until the 1950s.
