Devetsil and the Theater is one of eight synthetic studies which map activities of the avant-garde Devetsil group, active in Prague and Brno in the 1920s. The chapter deals with the theatrical activities of Devětsil members during its duration.It maps B. Feuerstein's attempts at purism in scenography and the development of modern dance in interwar Czechoslovakia.
