Spolupráce Jána Zavarského s brněnskou experimentální scénou se datuje od roku 1981 a do současnosti zahrnuje více jak 25 inscenací, pro které navrhl scénu (pro část z nich i kostýmní složku), a celou řadu dalších, na nichž se podílel přátelskými radami a konzultacemi. Příspěvek zmapoval tuto tvorbu v kontextu doby a připomněl nejvýraznější incenace, kterými se scénograf významnou měrou spolupodílel na poetice zmíněného divadla. Konferenci organizovalo Združenie slovenských divadelných kritikov a teoretikov a Ústav divadelnej a filmovej vedy Centra vied o umení Slovenské Akadémie Vied.

Ján Zavarský's collaboration with the Brno experimental scene dates back to 1981 and currently includes more than 25 productions for which he designed the stage (for some of them a costume part), and a number of others in which he participated in friendly advice and consultations. The paper mapped this work in the context of the time and recalled the most significant incidences with which the stage designer contributed significantly to the poetics of the theatre. The conference was organized by the Association of Slovak Theater Critics and Theoreticians and the Institute of Theater and Film Science of the Center of Arts of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
