Referát reflektuje průnik politických, společenských, kulturních, ale i ekonomických aj. změn, které přineslo prvorepublikové období v Československu do činnosti varhanářské firmy Rieger a její nástrojové produkce. Varhanářská firma Rieger (v rámci jednotlivých vývojových fází existující pod názvy Gebrüder Rieger, Rieger, Rieger-Kloss – Varhany Krnov, Rieger-Kloss, s.r.o., Rieger-Kloss Orgelbau s.r.o.), fungující v letech 1873–2015 (administrativně ukončena 2018) ve slezském městě Krnově (německy Jägerndorf) patřila k předním světovým výrobcům varhan, přičemž značným způsobem přispěla k formování podoby varhanářství dané časové epochy na území českých zemí a do jisté míry i střední Evropy. Její činnost v období let 1918-1939 byla ovlivněna mj. rozpadem stávajících trhů a nutností hledat nová odbytiště, změnou pohledu na uměleckou koncepci a funkci varhan, i řadou technických a výrobních inovací.

The paper reflects the penetration of the political, social, cultural, as well as economic changes which appeared in the organ-building firm Rieger and its instrumentál production in the First Republic period in Czechoslovakia. The organ-building firm Rieger (within the individual development stages known as Gebrüder Rieger, Rieger, Rieger-Kloss – Varhany Krnov, Rieger-Kloss, s.r.o., Rieger-Kloss Orgelbau s.r.o.), operating between 1873-2015 (administratively finished in 2018) in the city of Krnov (German Jagerndorf) belonged to one of the world leading organ-building firms, contributing considerably to the formation of the character of organbuilding in the time period mentioned in the territory of the Czech lands and, to a certain extent, in Central Europe. Its activity in the period of 1918-1939 was influenced, among other things, by the disintegration of existing markets and the need to look for new outlets, by changing the view of the artistic concept and organ function, as well as by a number of technical and production innovations.
