Referát reflektuje přínos muzikologa, hudebního pedagoga a folkloristy Roberta Smetany pro české hudební vysoké školství. Zabývá se vazbou na Smetanova učitele Vladimíra Helferta, ale i koncepcí výuky na Smetanou vybudované Katedře hudební vědy a výchovy v Olomouci.

This paper reflects the contribution of the musicologist, music pedagogue and folklorist Robert Smetana to the Czech musical higher education. He deals with the connection with Vladimir Helfert's Smetana teacher, as well as with the concept of teaching Smetana built by the Department of Musicology and Education in Olomouc.
