  • Admission conditions

    Uchazeči se nebudou hlásit na jednotlivé obory jako v bakalářském stupni, ale do níže uvedených profilací bez ohledu na obor, který absolvovali v bakalářském stupni

    Profilace instrumentální

    • Minimálně 3 skladby dle vlastního výběru instrumentálně s rytmickou sekcí nebo solo. -Prezentace tématu/konceptu projektu pro tuto specializaci.

    Profilace kompozičně-aranžérská

    • Minimálně 3 autorské skladby či originální aranžmá skladeb dle vlastního výběru instrumentálně s rytmickou sekcí nebo solo. 
    • Prezentace tématu/konceptu projektu pro tuto specializaci.

     

    Součástí přijímací zkoušky je zkouška z cizího neslovanského jazyka (A nebo N), jejíž výsledek tvoří 20% z celkového hodnocení. Zkouška z cizího jazyka je realizována jako písemný lexikálně-gramatický test na úrovni B 1+ SERR. V rámci testu se ověřuje i znalost odborného názvosloví z hudební oblasti.

    Výsledek talentové zkoušky tvoří 80% z celkového hodnocení.

Studies

  • Objectives

    The field is guaranteed by the Jazz Interpretation Department. It prepares students for the variability and flexibility of the labour market in the field of art.

    The master’s degree field of field Jazz Interpretation is guaranteed by the Jazz Interpretation Department. It educates professionals to play playing in big-bands, theatre orchestras, chamber ensembles, act as composers and arrangers, as well as teachers at all levels of specialised schools. The given field exists in three specialisations: instrumental, composition and adaptation, theory and pedagogy. The field follows up on bachelor’s degree studies.

    A graduate demonstrates broad knowledge of the repertoire of the relevant field

    – demonstrates broad knowledge in the use of his musical instrument in the chronological, interpretive or instrumental line

    – has professional knowledge within his or her selected specialisation.

  • Learning Outcomes

    After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:

    • A soloist performing with their own band, big-band player, leader or member of smaller ensembles
    • composer or arranger for his own or someone else’s orchestra, jazz musician, studio musician, artist-producer of various jazz projects, composer, arranger or conductor of non-artificial music
    • teacher at art schools, conservatories and music grammar schools, universities of arts or pedagogy
  • Occupational Profiles of Graduates

    A soloist performing with his or her own band, big-band player, leader or member of smaller ensembles, composer or arranger for his own or someone else’s orchestra, jazz musician, studio musician, artist-producer of various jazz projects, composer, arranger or conductor of non-artificial music, teacher at art schools, conservatories, music grammar schools or universities of art or pedagogy.

  • Rules and Conditions for the Creation of a Study Plan

    The study plan consists of compulsory, elective and optional courses and of compulsory artistic study outputs.

  • Goals of Theses

    A student must obtain 60 credits for each year of studies and finish the studies with a state final examination in selected courses, graduation performance defence and diploma thesis defence.

    Contents and scope of the final examination:

    Defence of the graduation project, Defence of the diploma thesis, Philosophy of Arts, Instrumental specialisation History of the Instrument and its Repertory; Composition and adaptation specialisation: Introduction to contemporary composition; Theory and pedagogy specialisation: Methodology of Music Theory Disciplines
