Course objectives
OBJECTIVE
The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive view of human resources management in organizations with an emphasis on the specifics of cultural institutions, acquaint them with the modern concept of human resources and its position in the structure of organizational management. To deepen the students knowledge in different areas of the human resource management process and to acquire them by means of assigned individual and group tasks and exercises.

The subject extends and synthesizes the knowledge and skills of human resource management and teamwork acquired in bachelor degree in subjects in the field of management, project management, labor law and psychology, as well as in the realization of practical productions and graduate project. Together with the subject of the Practical Psychology taught in the summer semester of the first year of the Masters degree program.

Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE
Student can:
- Explain the terms HR, Personnel Management and Human Resource Development,
- Describe the basic principles of the modern concept of human resources,
- List key areas of personnel activities and describe their purpose,
- Describe basic principles of personnel planning in an organization,
- Describe the recruitment process and explain its basic rules,
- Describe the procedures for the selection, reception and dismissal of workers, formal formalities,
- Describe basic principles of work performance management,
- Describe the process and ways of evaluating workers,
- Explaining the importance of the system of training and development of workers, describe basic approaches to training, development and remuneration of workers,
- Assess the specifics of the work environment and human resource management in cultural institutions.

SKILLS
Student can:
- Define the headings and sources of information needed to process pedagogical tasks in human resources (eg for job analysis, recruitment and selection of staff, etc.),
- Choose appropriate methods for the processing of tasks and exercises in the field of human resources (eg for the evaluation and remuneration of workers),
- Apply knowledge from the field of management, project management, labor law, etc. in analyzing the analysis of the external and internal environment of the Productive Plan from the perspective of personnel management.

ELIGIBILITY
Student is able to:
- Critically and independently study key and complementary materials and sources commissioned by the teacher,
- Search for other relevant materials and sources related to the topics discussed,
- Choose and defend their own procedures for solving individually assigned tasks, to perform the assigned tasks with respect to the deadlines and in the appropriate quality, in the case of group tasks and taking into account the needs of other team members,
- Communicate and discuss your suggestions with other students in group tasks,
- Define and adopt ethical principles of personnel work

VÝUKOVÉ METODY
Student reflektuje a prakticky ověřuje poznatky získané přednáškou a ukázkami příkladů z praxe zpracováním individuálních a skupinových cvičení zaměřených na vybraná témata z oblasti personalistiky (výběrové řízení z pozice kandidáta, výběrové řízení z pozice pohovorujícího, systémy odměňování a motivace, plánování lidských zdrojů z hlediska pracovních pozic a ekonomických podmínek atp.). Zpracovaná cvičení jsou následně diskutována jak s pedagogem, tak ostatními studenty.
