Completion of the course Bachelor Thesis proseminar in the second year of bachelor study program. A prerequisite for the completion of the Bachelor's Thesis is the elaboration of the research plan of the thesis, its consultation with the confirmed thesis supervisor and the extract of the project into the assignment of the bachelor thesis in the informational system.

Course objectives
Aim of the course unit is to guide students in their independent research and application work. The outcome of the course is written bachelor thesis with a minimum of 40 standard pages.
Student is supervised by the assigned supervisor in following activities:
- student completes the research plan, including the operationalization of research questions based on established hypotheses,
- student implements a research plan,
- student performs an evaluation of the results,
- student transfesr the results into a research report, ie a bachelor thesis.
This study course is supplemented with Bachelor Thesis and Graduation Project Seminar to support the formal requirements and methodology of the research.
Learning outcomes
Student
- is able to process larger-scale research within the field of study and can process it in a research report, ie bachelor thesis,
- can plan and prepare a consultation with the supervisor,
- can communicate with institutions or individuals in answering their questions,
- respects the relevant ISO standards when working on the thesis,
- independently chooses the problems and objectives of the bachelor thesis,
- is able to demonstrate work with relevant literature and to reflect its own experience as a collected, classified and interpreted material of the thesis, as well as is able to apply the knowledge gained during the study,
- is able to formulate own conclusions and interpret the results of the work,
- is able to fulfill the formal requirements for processing the bachelor's thesis, ie to achieve the corresponding stylistic, grammatical and graphic levels and is able to use the annexes,
- can define the contribution of bachelor thesis to the study program and also other practical or theoretical use of the bachelor thesis.
Syllabus
  • Student conducts research within the given topic in order to solve current problems of practice or theory in the field of theatre production, irrespective within the specialization (theatre production or stage management and technology).
  • Student solves the problem within a broader topic in the bachelor thesis research through the deeper study of the literature and the way of empirical or other research (is able to formulate hypotheses, to discuss the specialized sources within individual chapters of a thesis, to prepare partial conclusions etc.), the results are presented in the research report - bachelor thesis , where student also presents his/her own approaches to solutions.
  • The level of work corresponds to the profile of a graduate of a bachelor study programme of theatre production, which is a production level focused on project management with the orientation to middle management level. The bachelor thesis examines how the student has mastered the subjects and courses of the field of study and how is able to apply theoretical knowledge in solving the complex set of research objectives. Bachelor thesis has rather exploratory character with explanatory elements, the students often choose the way of case studies, historical research or experiment. Therefore it is not possible to expect significant inventiveness within the design part, however, this is a compulsory part of the bachelor thesis too.
  • When carry out research student co-operates with the supervisor of the thesis, approaches appointed consultants and actively and regularly seeks support from mentors. Student respects the time schedule and deadlines for submitting bachelor thesis or its parts.

WRITE bachelor thesis on a given topic Student kompeteci and has gained the ability to write a bachelor thesis.
Syllabus
  • Student at the designated topic conducts research in order to solve current problems of practice and theory of Theatre Management and stage technology. Searches and studying literature and other sources of information, demonstrates the ability to manage the process and choose the method of his investigation, evaluate the information and presents its findings in research work - Thesis. The level of work fits the profile of the graduate theater Management bachelor's degree, which is the level of production or at the level of stage management-oriented project management. Bachelor thesis examines how the student has mastered the subjects in his field and his ability to apply their theoretical knowledge in solving the task. Student in the implementation of its research and treatment research reports cooperates with the head of his thesis, using its established consultants and actively and regularly seeks the support of their mentors. When compiling the thesis respects the timetable for the relevant academic year and the deadline for submission of their thesis, which are set out in the thesis seminar.
