Prepositions of place

                               (or activity, also good with arrive)


1.   IN

Use IN for rooms or IN your car.


2.   AT

Use AT for any place bigger than a room but smaller than the whole town.


Exceptions: in/on a street, in a neighbo(u)rhood, on the beach, in the garden


Bonus!  AT also works for 100% of events/activities.


3.   Use IN for the whole town/village or anything larger.


Exceptions: on the planet, on an island or peninsula


 4. ON the bus, the tram, the train, the boat, the airplane.


                                       Prepositions of Time


1.   AT an hour, at noon, at midnight:

            At 4 o’clock


2.   ON a day of the week or a date:

            On Thursday, on the 12^th of May


3.   IN a month or a year, in the morning/afternoon/evening:

            In May, In 2013
