Module III – Theatre Faculty 1/1 Overview of Theatre Faculty projects supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (1) Comprehensive screening diagnostic system GIS The project was supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the framework of the ÉTA programme, implementation period: 06/2018 - 05/2022. The Theatre Faculty acts as a coinvestigator besides the Masaryk University in Brno, which is the main investigator. The goal of the project is to create a new psychometrically verified and standardized online psychodiagnostic system which will help primary school teachers identify gifted students. (2) Artistic research into the creation of theatre productions featuring actors with Down syndrome as an effective means of social inclusion The project was prepared at the end of the period under review and subsequently successfully supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the ÉTA programme. Implementation period: 01/2019 – 12/2021. The Theatre Faculty acts as the main investigator of the project. Application of the project results is guaranteed by several organizations: Society of Parents and Friends of Children with Down Syndrome (Společnost rodičů a přátel dětí s Downovým syndromem, z.s.), Special Kindergarten, Special Primary School and Practical School Ibsenka Brno, p.o. (MŠ speciální, ZŠ speciální a praktická škola Ibsenka Brno, p.o.), Kociánka Centre (Centrum Kociánka), Fundacja Teatr 21 (Poland). The goal of the project is to verify procedures, methods and principles of working with actors with Down syndrome through the realization of theatre productions and to contribute to a better integration of the disabled people into the society. (3) Development of communication competencies through new educational methodology based on an objective assessment of performer and recipient biosignals The project was prepared at the end of the period under review and subsequently successfully supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the ÉTA programme. Implementation period: 05/2019 – 05/2021. The Theatre Faculty acts as a coinvestigator besides the Brno University of Technology, which is the main investigator. Another coinvestigator involved in the project is Masaryk University in Brno. The main goal of the project is to create a teaching methodology for the development of the performer’s communication competencies in the area of convincing and persuasion. The proposed teaching methodology should be more effective than conventional approaches to the training of communication skills, because the verification of knowledge about the interaction between the performer and the recipient is based, among other things, on an analysis of their physiological manifestations.
