Conditions for admission to study at the Faculty of Music of JAMU in the follow-up Master’s study program Historical Performance (joint program, language of instruction: English) I. Basic conditions for admission to study JAMU Regulations Article 14 and 15 Education at JAMU is available for all applicants, who prove their talent in the respective area and personal qualifications for its development. Condition for admission in this follow-up Master’s study program is due completion of study in respective type of the Bachelor’s study program. Meeting of such condition shall be proved by the applicant by submitting of officially verified copy of the university diploma. If the university diploma is issued in a foreign country and unless an international treaty stipulates otherwise, the applicant must, at the latest on the day of the entrance examination, submit officially verified copy of decision on recognition of foreign education (validation of a foreign university degree – it may be carried out also in advance directly at JAMU – see www.jamu/studium). In any case it is necessary to take into account that the validation process will take some time. When admitting foreigners to study in the follow-up Master’s study program the dean must comply with obligations arising from international treaties, by which the Czech Republic is bound. In the given case it is an agreement with Royal Conservatoire the Hague on the joint study program Historical performance. In consideration of the fact that it is an accredited study program in English, the applicants are obliged to submit together with the application also the certificate of English language skills. According to the program accreditation file B2 level under SERR/CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) from certified bodies is required. II. Other conditions for admission to study JAMU Regulations Articles 16 to 18 Condition for admission to this follow-up master’s study program is verification of level of talent qualifications by an entrance examination held in the form of talent commissional exam. Particular requirements (specifications) concerning the talent commissional exam will be published by the Faculty together with the Notice of Admission Procedure every year 4 months before initiation of the respective admission procedure. In consideration of the fact that this study program is newly accredited in 2020 this period is under Section 49 paragraph 6, of Act No.111/1998 Coll., shortened for this year. III. Criteria for evaluation of entrance examination Minimum number of points necessary for admission is 20. Applicant whose resultant weighted average score does not reach this given minimum, will be assessed as unsuccessful. Ranking of applicants is given according to number of points they reached at the talent commissional exam. The Faculty may set the maximum possible number of admitted applicants, who met the set conditions; if more applicants meet such conditions, the ranking shall be decisive factor. The dean of the Faculty shall decide on number of applicants admitted to study and he/she will publish it in the Notice of Admission Procedure for a particular academic year. IV. Validity and effectiveness These Conditions and Criteria for admission to study at the Faculty of Music of JAMU were approved by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Music of JAMU on 19. February 2020. These Conditions and Criteria for admission to study at the Faculty of Music of JAMU come into force and effect on 20. February 2020.
