Notice of Admission Procedure to study in the academic year of 2021/2022 In the academic year of 2021/2022, we are opening a new follow-up master’s study program called “Historical Performance”, to which no more than 2 applicants will be admitted, for the following instruments: historical violin, historical violoncello, lute, historical flute, harpsichord and historical keyboard instruments, and historical voice. The study program is accredited as a joint program with the Royal Conservatoire, the Hague. The language of instruction is English, and study fees are charged in the amount of EUR 2.168 per one academic year. Procedure for filing an application: Applications shall be filed until 16 May 2021 through the electronic application “E-application” on the JAMU website (https://is.jamu.cz/). The Faculty of Music of JAMU accepts only applications filed in the Information System (IS). Required attachments to the application: - proof of completion of a bachelor's degree; those who complete it in the academic year 2020/2021 will provide proof of completion of the bachelor's degree immediately after the state final examination (see Conditions for Admission to Study at the JAMU Faculty of Music) - structured CV - a certificate of completion of the required English language exam according to the set conditions (B2 SERR) no later than 16 May 2021, and further, officially translated bachelor's degree certificates in the Czech language (see Conditions for Admission to Study at the JAMU Faculty of Music) Required attachments to the filed application must be uploaded to IS JAMU. No other application options are allowed. Payment for the admission procedure shall be made through the Shopping Centre in the Information System JAMU, and it amounts to CZK 870. The administrative fee for an admission procedure, in which the applicant does not participate for any reason, shall not be refunded! An application without a paid fee for the admission procedure and without all attachments will not be accepted for further processing, and the applicant will be excluded from the admission procedure. Please check the Information System JAMU for confirmation of your application for studies after the deadline, i.e., after 16 May 2021. Admission procedure: Entrance examination will take place on 22 June 2021. The admission procedure has only one round. An invitation to the admission procedure will be uploaded to IS JAMU in the E-application at least 14 days before the examination takes place. The alternative date of the admission procedure will be determined according to the current situation. The examining committee for the talent entrance examination is appointed by the Dean of the Faculty. Members of the respective committee are obliged to be present at the talent exam of all applicants in the given study program and determine their ranking based on the points they get. The examining committee has reserved the right not to examine an applicant within the whole scope of requirements of the talent entrance examination. Results of the talent entrance examination are evaluated by points in the range 0 – 25. The minimum limit for proposal for admission is 20 points. Applicants will be notified of the result of the entrance examination in writing. The admission committee will be in session on 29 June 2021. Furthermore, each applicant may, after the date of the session of the admission committee, verify his/her placing through the Information System JAMU. Applicants may consult the materials that are relevant for the decision on admission to study after the Dean's written decision on admission or non-admission to study. Accommodation in college dormitories during the entrance examination is not possible and everyone has to procure that individually. Admission to study does not automatically establish the right to accommodation in the JAMU college dormitories.
