Who can apply for the Master’s degree studies in Music Production?

The Master’s degree studies in Music Production are open to students who have a Bachelor’s degree in music production, the management or cultural management and other similar fields. If the applicant comes from another school, it will be individually decided whether he or she can study for a Master’s degree or whether he or she needs to complete certain courses from the Bachelor’s degree studies.

What else will the students learn?

JAMU educates students not only in the field of artistic operation but also in management, economics, marketing, or relevant legislation. The Music Production Department further develops these skills and knowledge and provides students with the freedom to pursue their self-fulfillment, whether they want to be producers or specialists in marketing and communication. However, the studies are not purely theoretical. The students will also gain rich practical experience, not only in the preparation of performances of the FoM JAMU Chamber Opera but also with the faculty’s partners, such as the Brno Philharmonic, the National Theatre Brno and many others. Theoretical education is complemented by a series of professional meetings and conferences, such as the SYMPOSIUM: ARTS | MUSIC | MANAGEMENT

How do students complete their Master’s degree studies?

At the end of the two-year Master’s degree studies, students not only submit their master’s thesis, but also prepare their own graduation project with a musical, musical scientific, or other focus. Compared to the previous bachelor’s project, the master’s project should be more complex and include a production-intent or intent.
