Course objectives
  • Knowing the main milestones of the development of domestic and foreign film music.
  • Understanding the aspects and principles of creating film music.
  • Forming analytical skills for the evaluation of film music.
  • Knowing the specific terminology used in the field of film music.
  • Learning outcomes
    By completing this course, students will gain knowledge of the historical development of film music, its musical characteristics, functions within an audiovisual work, commonly used terminology and, last but not least, psychological, aesthetic, semantic and analytical overlaps. At the same time, the subject in some detail serves as an introduction to the specialized subjects of the Composition of Stage and Film Music study plan.
