Course objectives
Knowledge and detailed study of the terms functional jazz harmony.
Syllabus
  • Detailed analysis and study of the "Blues" and his harmonic variations and permutations, using different scales and modes. Diminished seventh chord: typical patterns, reharmonizace, diminished scales and their use. Distended dominant and dominant substitution. Detailed analysis and study of "Rhythm Changes" and its harmonic variations and permutations. Dominant chords with special functions.
