- Course objectives
- Evaluation of a report on the nature of the thesis, when the main requirements are: - precise thematic definition of the thesis - followed-up main goal, targeting partial goals - primary and secondary research questions - methods that will be used to fulfill the stated goal - current state of research on the topic and its reflection in the specialised literature
- Syllabus
- Course objective: Extending the methodological conception of the diploma topic, including adequate formal parameters of the specialized text. Outline: The subject follows the diploma seminar in the bachelor's study, dealing with the writing of a professional text with predominantly musical themes to the depth required by the Master's degree. The content of the subject is the precise definition of the topic of the thesis and a detailed determination of its methodological concept with an outline of the stylistics questions. - formal characteristics and modification of the diploma thesis and its processing - structure of the diploma thesis - working with information sources (information centres, searches, links, quotes) - processing technique of the diploma thesis - the issues of citations and notes - the conception of individual aspects of the work - the definition of the subject, objectives of the thesis, the design of main and secondary research questions, working with hypotheses - problems of verification, falsification - analytical and synthetic methods - critique of sources and comparative methods
