- Course objectives
- Understanding of harmonic structures from the perspective nedoškálných jazz harmonic progressions. Developing chromatic harmonic thinking.
- Syllabus
- Distribution chord rates and modes in terms of their color and creating tensions. Modality in the context of sound perception. Using the chromatic approach to jazz improvisation. Terms of use chromaticism - tension and relaxation, balance, overlap. Harmonious concepts of tonal chromatic progressions. Supplementary harmonic sequences in different situations - diatonic, modal, bass pedal. Use of chromaticism in netonálních procedures. Making chromatic melodic lines and harmonization. Working with jazz standards and their reharmonizace using chromatic progressions. Various views of the chord symbols and their turnovers. The use of complex chords in chromatic procedures.
