Prerequisites
The course is taught in the summer semester of the first year of the Bachelor's degree program, so it is assumed that the subject Microeconomics and Introduction to Cultural Policy I. will take place in the winter semester of the first year.

Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to further develop economic thinking of students through the view of the economic system as a whole and the study of basic macroeconomic indicators. The aim of the subject is therefore to teach students to orientate in basic economic terminology and macroeconomic problems in order to be able to interpret the basic macroeconomic knowledge in the field of art with a focus on theatre and creative industries.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
Student has knowledge of basic economic terminology and basic macroeconomic indicators,
the student has knowledge of creative industries,
the student understands the functioning of the banking system, including the creation and function of money,
student understands the supply and demand system in the economy,
student understands the norms that condition the fluctuations and changes of the economy,
student knows the system of national economy, taxes and social security in the Czech Republic.

Skills:
Student can interpret basic macroeconomic indicators,
student is able to interpret macroeconomic phenomena in the field of art (theater) and cultural and creative industries.

Eligibility:
The student is able to use and interpret the knowledge gained in the subject in analyzes within projects (eg. SLEPT, SWOT, Cost-Benefit and others) processed in other subjects during the course of study,
student is able to use and interpret the knowledge gained in the subject during the management of a particular project (production etc.) or within a part of a larger project,
student is able to independently study and critically evaluate key and complementary sources.

Teaching methods
The subject is taught in the form of lectures using discussion methods. Students are given a seminar work during the semester.
Assessment methods
The course is finished by an oral exam. For a successful ending, students have to attend 80 % of the attendance and pass the seminar paper, then they can be tested.
