- Postmodern society is society of individuals. Is really the aim of the majority of your society just "hurrying and shopping"? Who is the main hero looking for selfdefinition in working life, with liquid feelings and self-adoration in privat life? He is looking for his identity and meaning of life. How can we do that? And how to deal with the historical package of last centuries? The aim of our critical seminar will be to analyse short essays and think about the life of a postmodern being in the middle of society, culture, arts, looking for interactions and identity. (M. Montaigne, J.-P. Sartre, W. Benjamin, R. Barthes, T. W. Adorno, H. Arendt, A. Camus, P. Šafařík, Z. Bauman, V. Havel, J. Saramago, M.
