Course objectives (in Czech)

Cílem kurzu je představit vývoj scénografie druhé poloviny 20. stol. Přiblížit studentům proměnu scénografie v kontextu vývoje divadla, výtvarného umění i v širším kontextu doby. Seznámit studenty s hlavními osobnostmi scénografů i dalších divadelních tvůrců, stejně jako s nejdůležitějšími teoretickými koncepty scénografie. Vše v doprovodu bohatého obrazového a filmového materiálu.

Learning outcomes (in Czech)

Po absolvování předmětu bude student:
- mít znalosti z oblasti vývoje výtvarného umění a dějin divadla, vše v širším historickém kontextu;
- schopen aplikovat získané znalosti o vývoji výtvarného umění a divadla při úvahách o scénografii;
- schopnem identifikovat významné osobnosti scénografů i jejich tvorbu a tvůrčí koncepce;
- rozumět vzájemnému vlivu vývoje jednotlivých složek divadelní inscenace na vývoj scénografie, stejně jako vlivu dalších umělecko-historických okolností doby;
- schopen rozumět scénografii jako jedné z komponent složitého komplexu divadelní inscenace;

Course objectives

The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the development of scenography from the year 1945 to the present time. Students will be able to identify prominent characteristic features of the individual movements and styles. They will be informed about the impact of the development of other components of a theater performances at the development of stage design. They will understand the basic theoretical concepts of scenography and know the main theater theorists.

Course objectives

The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the development of scenography from the year 1945 to the present time. Students will be able to identify prominent characteristic features of the individual movements and styles. They will be informed about the impact of the development of other components of a theater performances at the development of stage design. They will understand the basic theoretical concepts of scenography and know the main theater theorists.
