Course objectives
The goal of the course is to familiarize students with the basic terminology, content, and concepts of the field of theater and education, both on a theoretical and practical level. As part of the course, students acquire basic practical skills through hands-on experience. In connection with the field of study, attention is also given to literature for children and young adults as a source of inspiration for educational and theatrical work (searching for themes, ideas, genres, staging concepts, etc.).
Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students:
- understand the basic concepts of the field and are able to apply them correctly in practice;
- recognize and identify various forms and methods used in the field;
- have mastered the basic principles of acting and stage performance, both in theory and in practice;
- are able to analyze and reflect on selected literary works for children and young adults with regard to their application in educational and theatrical practice.

Attendance and submission of a written assignment. The written assignment will consist of summaries of 15 books from children’s and young adult literature and an oral presentation of 3 selected titles;
